Anything you track as a single record: a laptop, monitor, mobile device, peripheral, server, switch, vehicle, tool — or a software license seat. Each asset has an ID, category, status, optional photo, and an assignment trail. Plan limits count each record once.
Yes. CSV import is available on Starter and above. Map your columns to AssetCtl fields, and rows that fail validation come back as a downloadable error report — no half-applied imports.
Reads keep working. Creating more of the limited item is blocked with a clear message and a one-click upgrade link. We never silently overage-bill you — you'll only ever pay the price on the plan you chose.
Every plan ships with Admin / Editor / Viewer. Business adds custom roles with fine-grained permissions per area (assets, licenses, people, setup, company config, audit & reports) and per action (read / write / delete / export).
Your assets, licenses, and people stay in your workspace until you delete them or close your account — there's no time limit on the records themselves.
Two history feeds are retained on a plan ladder: the company-wide Audit Log and per-asset Asset Activity. Both keep 7 days on Free, 30 on Starter, 90 on Core, 1 year on Pro, and unlimited on Business. Deleting a record (or emptying an account) removes it permanently — there's no hidden copy.
Cancel yourself anytime from the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep full paid access until then.
After that your workspace simply moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted — your assets, licenses, and people are all still there. You just return to the Free limits, and for 30 days after the change your previous history-retention window is preserved so you have time to export anything you want to keep or resubscribe. You can export a full copy of your data at any time.
Yes. We take automated database snapshots daily (kept for 30 days) plus a monthly snapshot (kept for 12 months), stored off-site in Cloudflare R2 — separate from the app server. We verify those backups and test restores. You can also pull a full export of your own workspace from the dashboard whenever you like.
